Requirements :

• BChD or equivalent qualification. Must have completed community service. Registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist in the independent practice category. Demonstrable interest in the discipline will be advantageous. Completion and passing the primary subjects (anatomy and physiology) are targets for the incumbent to equip them with the entry requirements for a registrar’s position. Every 6 months, the performance of the incumbent will be reviewed, with the contract renewable after a year based on satisfactory performance. Maximum contract period is two years.

Duties :

• The incumbent will be responsible for service rendering, screening, student supervision, lecturing, and presentation of academic seminars and be involved in research.

The performance of normal and commuted overtime is not mandatory, however it will be based on the operational needs of the hospitals.
