Requirements :

• MBChB Degree. Candidates must have completed community service training and Internship. Must be registered with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. General Surgery primary examination provided by the College of Medicine of South Africa will be an added advantage. Registration for M.MED degree with the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.

Duties :

• Perform multi-disciplinary teamwork. Ensure continuous training and education. Assist in departmental cost-efficiency practices. Provide support on management responsibilities as and when the need arises. Attend to in-patients, outpatients, and casualty responsibilities. Take care of surgical patients. The incumbent will be rotated through other surgical disciplines and intensive care unit. Provide evidence-based / medical clinical care. Guide and support junior staff towards management of patients.
