Requirements :

• Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner, HPCSA registration as an Independent Medical Practitioner and must have completed Community Service. Current HPCSA registration for 2025/2026. Current registration with HPCSA for 2025/2026. No experience required after registration with HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Work experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner and ability to initiate and conduct research will be added advantages.

Duties :

• Provide a comprehensive clinical service for patients at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital supervise and train interns and nurses. Provide after – hours duties and other general orthopaedic duties as required. Ensure the proper and economical use of equipment and other resources. The successful candidate will be expected to strengthen the regional and district health systems by providing outreach programmes; participate in all divisional, departmental and faculty meetings to facilitate effective teaching and research as well as to enhance continuing professional development; Maintain quality assurance standards and other departmental policies. Attend meetings and training as approved by HOU. Undertake appropriate clinical research.
