Requirements :

• Grade 12 with Basic R425 Qualification (Diploma or Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. Good understanding of the Human Papilloma Virus Vaccination Campaign. Good understanding of the delivery platforms of the HPV Vaccination. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of reporting procedure of Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI).Ability to communicate with learners in schools. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

Duties :

• Demonstrate an understanding of Nursing legislation related legal and ethical Nursing practice within the Primary Health care environment and the school health programmes. Provision of health education to leaners and parents about importance of immunizations . Conducting leaner health screenings with integrated school Health programme (ISHP) Team leaders per integrated School Health Policy. Provision of school-based immunizations HPV and Tetanus Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap). Recording and capturing of all the vaccinated learners according to ISHP ,HPV and Tdap protocols. Assist the Team Leader in monitoring the HPV vaccine stock levels. Ensure proper handling and management of medical waste generated during the vaccination.
