Requirements :

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: An (NQF 7) qualification in Information Systems/BCom or other related qualification. A minimum of 3 years’ experience specializing in Business/Process Analysis. Duties :

  • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by preparing business cases for high impact process and/or system implementations. Support the core business in implementing existing IDMS business processes and enabling systems. Add value to DID by supporting the implementation of new processes and systems enabling further enhancement of the IDMS. Apply continuous improvement methodologies to identify areas of optimisation of the DID IDMS Business Processes. Manage client and stakeholder expectations. Plan and monitor business process analysis activities. Business Process Modelling. Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses. Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth. Elicit and analyse the actual needs of the business stakeholders. Conduct gap analysis for business needs. Conduct requirements elicitation and documentation through the application of continuous improvement tools, brainstorming and prototyping. Facilitation of JAD sessions. Build, sustain and leverage relationships with persons within and outside area of immediate responsibility when gathering, validating and approving requirements. Prepare use cases. Manage requirements traceability. Ensure knowledge management by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team. Facilitate communication between organisational units and play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology and serve as a translator between these groups. Testing of new systems and processes. Support in the development of the standard DID Business Analysis (BA) methodology. Actively promote and contribute to the organisation's Business Analysis (BA) Centre of Excellence in defining the BA practices for the organisation. Manage training and development of business analysis resources according to agreed training interventions. Provide regular verbal and written feedback [aligned to quarterly performance assessments] to direct reports on performance. Mentor and coach business analysis resources. Provide sufficient guidance to business analysis resources in terms of the service delivery plan, work plans, core business roles and priorities of the Department through quarterly personnel meetings. Manage skills transfer between personnel in the Directorate, Chief Directorate and outside technical assistants and/or consultants.
