Requirements :

• Basic qualification accredited with SANC in terms of Government NoticeR425(Degree or Diploma in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a professional nurse plus a post basic nursing qualification (PHC), with duration of at least 1 year accredited with SANC in terms government notice no 212 plus A Post Basic (NQF level 7 for a Degree) or (NQF level 6 for a Diploma). Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 1 year of the appropriate / recognizable experience after obtaining the 1-year Post Basic Qualification in the relevant specialty. (Advanced Midwifery). A valid Driver’s license and computer literacy are essential.

Duties :

• Demonstrate knowledge of legislation relevant to health care services. Management of the facility by providing comprehensive Primary Health Care services to the communities, Render 24 hour services at Maternity Unit. Ensure that nursing services are rendered according to the set norms and standards. Ensure implementation of departmental policies including Batho Pele Principles, Patients’ Rights Charter. Participate implementation of Ideal Clinic, OHSC, occupational Health and Safety policy, complaints /compliments and suggestion guidelines and monitoring of compliance. Implementation of patient safety incidents guidelines, infection prevention and control guidelines/policies. Implementation and monitoring of Health Care Waste compliance. Participation and implementation of quality improvement plans. Render comprehensive Primary health care Services to the patients.
