An appropriate SAQA recognized NQF level 7 tertiary qualification in a health related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Public Health System at Senior Management preferably in a health environment. The successful candidate will have to be a dynamic individual and a pro-active thinker with excellent decision-making abilities. She/he must have the ability to communicate and implement the department/region’s strategic objectives.
Duties :

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of Sedibeng District Services in terms of relevant legislative frameworks and delegations. Management and coordination of healthcare services throughout the Sedibeng district and facilitate the decentralization of service delivery to public health facilities. Coordinate the provincialization of services and services plan implementation. Ensure effective and efficient implementation of the comprehensive HIV/AIDS programme in the Sedibeng district. Ensure that National, Provincial and Local initiatives are appropriately delivered through well-organized and established frameworks of hospital and district health services support. Develop strategic operations and transitional plans. Partake and ensure inter- and intra-district coordination. Ensure the production of the district’s annual performance business plan and budget. Responsible and accountable for the budgetary and revenue performance of the district. Manage all resources, i.e. staff, assets and consumables. Ensure that district plans for national, provincial and local initiatives are managed, monitored and reported through a comprehensive and well-coordinated framework, involving all relevant managers and staff. Monitoring and reporting on process in terms of health care delivery outcomes and strategic health priorities. Ensure the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of progress on a quarterly basis. Develop and maintain communication networks throughout the district and ensure that stakeholders are involved and are aware of the initiatives and developments within the district. Develop and maintain appropriate communication and coordinate links with local government. Participate in planning and decision-making processes of the department. Coordinate patient care service plans for the district. Ensure that the district participates in the ongoing development of service norms and standards. Manage the performance of staff by ensuring that they have performance contracts and their performance is reviewed timeously. Identify efficiency targets based on available, up-to date and accurate information. Ensure continuous development of district information frameworks that comply with standard department wide principles, values and systems. Provide oversight on good quality care to meet our patients needs Ensure commitment to proving good quality care to meet outpatient’s expectations and needs in patients’ rights, patient safety and good clinical governance.
