Requirements :

Grade 12 certificate, a qualified Dietician with a BSc Dietetics degree, currently registered with the HPCSA. The candidate must have finished their community service year successfully. Good clinical knowledge in therapeutic nutrition including paediatrics, neonates, internal medicine, and surgical specialities. Be familiar with the ethical code and scope of practice. The candidate must have a good understanding of food service management intervention. Computer literacy, with knowledge of basic to advanced programs (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint), including food analysis programmes and packages. The candidate must have good communication skills and be able to work well independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The candidate should be familiar with all nutrition products available on tender.
Duties :
-
To service the nutritional needs of both in and outpatients and staff of Tshwane District Hospital in a cost effective and appropriate manner within a multidisciplinary team. Provide training and education to health care professionals as well as dietetics students. Promotion and coordination of health days. Administrative duties including keeping of statistics and effective record keeping. Assistance with management responsibilities when needed including stock control and compiling of departmental statistics.
