Minimum qualification: Grade 10 or equivalent. Ability to read and write. Good interpersonal relations, communication, and numeracy skills. Must be able to cope with the physical demands of the position. Be able to work in a team and under pressure. Be prepared to work
shifts (weekends and public holidays included). Be able to rotate to different areas within the food service department.
Duties :
-
Be willing to perform all general duties related to Food Service as delegated by the Food service supervisor. Pre-preparation and preparation of food for normal, therapeutic diets and snacks. Daily dishing up of meals. Assist with the preparation and catering of functions. Apply hygiene and safety measures in the area of work. Weighing of ingredients for production purposes. To ensure effective maintenance of equipment. To ensure proper utilization of allocated physical and financial resources. To execute any lawful additional tasks issued by the supervisor or manager. Always adhere to all Food service policies and procedures.
