Requirements :

• MBChB or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in ENT. Fellowship/ MMED in Otorhinolaryngology Surgery and Neck, ENT. Proof of current registration with the HPCSA (2023-2024). Grade 1: No experience is required after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist. Grade 2: a minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA a Medical Specialist and Grade 3: a minimum of 10 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration as a Medical Specialist.

Duties :

• Clinical assessment and management of patients. Participation in all activities of Ear, Nose and Throat department in respect of administration, teaching and research. Examination and treatment of patients with recognized ENT pathology. Gather medical / scientific data. Teach medical students, nurses and other health care personnel. Collaborate with other medical professionals, such as audiologists, speech therapists, and radiologists, for comprehensive patient care.
