Requirements :

• Grade 12 with appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Clinical Associate. 3 years Bachelor of Clinical Medical practice (BMCP). Current registration with HPCSA (2023/2024). Clinical problem-solving skills and time management in a district hospital. Previous work experience will be added as advantage in the field of clinical associate work.

Duties :

• The incumbent will be responsible to investigate, diagnose, and manage patients appropriately. Attendance of relevant administrative meetings like daily patient handover meetings/ ward rounds, morbidity & mortality and Resuscitation meetings, Patient safety Incident meetings and CPD meetings. Improve quality of care by providing appropriate clinical care. Reduce medical litigation by exercising good clinical ethos. Adherence to Ideal Hospital Framework and Office of Health Standards Compliance requirements. Participate in multidisciplinary team for the management of patients. Participation in unit responsibilities and ward rounds. Ensure that administration and proper record keeping is done in the unit allocated. Clinical Associates will be rotated through different clinical areas: Paediatrics, O and G, different wards and outpatient departments.
