Requirements :

  • MBChB or Equivalent; registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for Independent Practice. A diploma in HIV & AIDS will be an added advantage. A diploma in family Medicine will be an added advantage.

Duties :

  • Work as a consulting doctor in Primary Health Care (PHC) clinics. Provision of good quality, patient - centred and community orientated care for all patients. Promote and ensure continuity of care. Examine, investigate, diagnose and tret patients: TB, patients for ARVs, sick children. Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and training of PHC doctors. Provide medical support to PHC clinical staff. Ensure that relevant patients statistics are maintained. Provide preventable health intervention and measures to promote health. Handle disability grand assessment. Perform duties as delegated by supervisor. The incumbent will be accountable to the sub-district Family Physician.
