Qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as specialist Orthopaedic. Registered or registrable as an Orthopaedic Specialist (FC Ortho (SA) and M. Med. Current registration with HPCSA. Knowledge of Paediatric Orthopaedic, General Paediatric Orthopaedic Trauma and knowledge of adult arthroplasty will be an advantage. Commuted Overtime is compulsory.
Duties :

Clinical management of Orthopaedic patients as a Consultant at Helen Joseph/Rahima Moosa Hospital Complex. Does post intake and follow-up ward rounds and supervising registrars, medical officers and Interns rotating in Orthopaedics. Managing patients attending Outpatient Department Clinic. Participating in the academic duties of the Wits Department of Orthopaedics. Teaching, training, and supervising undergraduate medical and postgraduate students (registrars) in the discipline of Orthopaedic Research. Outreach to facilities/ services in the catchment areas. Participate in the multidisciplinary team. Participate in management committees in Helen Joseph Hospital.

The new Z83 must be fully completed (please refer to the left side of the Z83 special notes for clarity), it must be initialled and signed.
