Requirements :

• Grade 1: None after registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a normal speciality. Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist in a normal speciality . Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in a normal Speciality. Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Currently registered with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist for 2023/24 financial year.

Duties :

• The successful candidate will provide Clinical services in Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. The primary responsibility will be the running of Obstetrics and Gynaecology department’s outpatient, labour ward and emergency section and theatre. There may be additional Clinical responsibilities in the functioning of the department, establishment of clinical protocol and oversight of these. The candidate will be responsible for supervision of Medical Interns, Medical Officer and Registrars and junior specialists.
