Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or Asset management or a degree or diploma or any relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Public Administration etc with 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or Asset management. Sound knowledge of the Asset Management guideline, Supply Chain Management policy, Inventory Management policy and other SCM Policies and Regulations, PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles. Problem solving and conflict management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Duties :

Overall management of assets in the institution. Ensure that all assets of the institution are barcoded and captured correctly. Ensure that reconciliation is done on monthly basis. Control the movement of assets. Ensure that Asset register is always updated. Compile and submit monthly reports. Ensure that asset verification is conducted. Ensure proper controls and record management of transferred assets and receiving of donated assets in the institution. Ensure proper asset acquisition, verification and disposal process are undertaken frequently to ensure that the hospital is clean from scrap. Form part of the equipment committee and provide a report on all the functional and non-functional asset items in the institutions working hand in hand with the end users. SCM responsibilities may be given by the manager to ensure smooth operations of the entire department. Provide supervision to subordinates. Sign performance contract on annual bases. Perform other duties assign by the supervisor. Be willing to undergo continues training and development programs. Attending meetings and training as approved by supervisor. Comply with the performance and development system and contracting, reviews and final assessment of the subordinates.
