Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or senior certificate, Basic Diploma/ Degree in nursing accredited with SANC or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse. Minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse. Experience in quality assurance will be an added advantage. SKILLS: Good communication skills, good ethical practice, good interpersonal skills and caring attitude, basic computer skills and valid driver’s license.

Duties :

  • Co-ordinate the activities of Quality Assurance. Manage customer care programs, complaints, compliment Management, Client’s satisfaction. Monitor waiting time. Manage accreditation program for the hospital in line with regulated norms and standards. Assist in clinical Audits system. Reporting and investigation of patient safety indent. Liaise with central and District Office on Quality Assurance matters. Prepare and present Quality Important Reports. Monitor and evaluate compliance with ideal hospital. Assist with clinical records audits. Conduct walkabout and support visits. Support Quality champions. Attend district and Provincial Meetings. Serve on institutional/district or provincial committee for selected provincial clinical audit projects, PSI and PEC. PSI Coordination/Ensure effective management of patient safety incidence and that all process contributing to patient safety incidence (PSI management) are conducted properly throughout the hospital. Coordinate provision of and compliance to national and provincial clinical guidelines. Provide initiative to improve customer care and facility user-friendly environment. Advocate for and ensure the promotion of Quality Assurance activities. Monitor the implementation of policies, protocols, guidelines, programmes, practices and procedures pertaining to quality improvement plans and SOP’s. Conduct patient Experience of Care Surveys and share results with relevant stakeholders. Ensure that internal audits are conducted in patients care units and compliance with Norms and Standards.
