Requirements :

  • Basic nursing diploma/degree as a professional nurse registered with South African Nursing Council. Minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience in nursing after registration as a professional nurse with SANC. 5 years’ experience in the HAST services (HIV and TB Management). The incumbent must posses the following: basic HIV AIDS, TB, NIMART and PMTCT. Diploma or Degree in nursing administration added advantage. Supervisory/shift leader experience in the HAST programme is required. Computer literacy Current SANC receipt Sound knowledge of public service policies, code of conduct and team building. Must have leadership, decision making, problem solving and team building skills. Knowledge of all legislation relevant to health care service.

Duties :

  • Co-ordinate and monitor the effective implementation of the HAST programmes and adherence thereof within the hospital and out patient departments (i.e. HTS, UTT, TB FAST strategy, CCMT,CCMDD, NAS, PMTCT, EDR WEB and TIER.NET systems. Ensure mentoring and coaching of the MDT members on HAST programmes guidelines and policies to ensure quality patient care and achievement of 95,95,95 strategy. Monitor data capturing, analysis, validation, and submission including all the systems analysis and management. Effectively monitor the performance of all HAST programme indicators. Supervise and ensure provision of effective and efficient care through adequate nursing. Maintain constructive work relationship with nursing and other stakeholders internally and externally. Proper utilization of human, financial and material resources. Promotion of professionalism and leading by example at all times. Co-ordination of activities of other health team members. Will be part of the hospital management team. Development and maintenance of quality patient care environment that promote optimum patient experience of care and upholding national core standard working toward implementation of NHI. Relieve area manager and can be delegated in the nursing office when necessary.
