Requirements :

  • Matric certificate or equivalent. Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/ degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. A minimum of seven (7) years recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse. A qualification in Health Service Management/ Nursing Administration/Management. Certificate of HAST attendance is compulsory. Leadership and good managerial skills required. Wide experience in HAST will be an added advantage.

Duties :

  • Implementation of all HAST programmes in the hospital and their supervision for compliance. Manage multi-disciplinary HAST staff including the NGO lay coucellors. Monitoring of all categories in the hospital for compliance to HAST principles. Prepare for HAST in-service training for the patients and staff, attend to relevant HAST external workshops according to the need. Responsible for giving inputs to management about facility compliance to HAST principles. Report to the Deputy Manager for Programmes and submit monthly on challengers and proposed resolutions. Co-ordination of all patient care, implement Quality Assurance standards and other mandatory priorities related to HAART management.
