Requirements :

  • Matric certificate, Diploma/Degree in nursing (Basic R171, R174 or R425) qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional/Registered Nurse. Good communication, report writing, facilitation, coordination, planning and organizational skills, problem solving and information management skills. Current registration with SANC for 2026

Duties :

  • Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of nursing care plan (clinical practice/quality patient care). Practice and demonstrate nursing and health care in accordance with the ethical and legal regulations relevant to nursing and health care practice. Maintain a healthy and constructive working relationship with nurses, other health care providers and stakeholders. Utilize human, physical and material resources efficiently and effectively. Perform clinical nursing practice and promote quality nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the institution. Work as part of multidisciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Work effectively, amicably with people of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences. Able to plan, organize own work, support and supervise personnel to ensure proper nursing care. Provision of quality patient care through adherence to set standards, policies and procedures. Providing more complex nursing care which leads to improved service delivery. Uphold Batho-Pele Principles and Patient’s Right Charter. Act as shift leader or Operational Manager in a unit (when necessary). Participation in training and research. Maintenance of professional growth, ethical standards and self-development. Must be prepared to work shifts and be rotated.
