Requirements :

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and MBChB or equivalent. Degree that allows registration with Health Professional Council of South Africa as a Medical Specialist. Mmed (Rad) D FC Rad (D) SA. Independent practice Certificate of registration with HPCSA and current annual renewal practicing licence as a Medical Specialist. Grade 1 2-5 years’ experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology. Grade 2 5-10 years’ experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology. Grade 3 10 years and experience in ultrasound and the department of Radiology. Good verbal interpersonal communication, management and administrative skills. Must be computer literate. Ability to function effectively and independently under pressure and to take initiative. Must be a team player and be able collaborate with other health professionals (MDT). COMMUTED OVERTIME IS COMPULSORY.

Duties :

• Provide optimal radiology services 80 hours per month. Assist with the maintenance of standards of care and implementation of quality improvement programmes within the department. Assist with the supervision and support of radiographers in the department. Participate in the departmental academic programme. Support the departmental activities for the development and training of undergraduate students.
