Requirements :

  • Grade 12 plus a minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Clerical Support. Knowledge in the Early Childhood Development environment will be an added advantage. Advanced computer literacy (Excel). Two years’ experience in data capturing and analysis. Knowledge and understanding of PFMA, legislative/policy framework, processes and procedure governing the funding Early Childhood Development services. Knowledge and understanding of the administration of the ECD Conditional Grant/ Conditional Grant will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Public Service Act and Regulations, Batho Pele principle, good verbal and written communication, planning and organisation. Good planning, coordination, analytical, report writing, communication and interpersonal relation skills, honesty, innovative, data capturing, Ability to work in a team, computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc). A valid drivers’ license is a requirement.

Duties :

  • Submission of monthly and quarterly progress reports on ECD Conditional grant and Equitable Share, manage invoices and payments maintenance of the ECD Conditional grant and Equitable Share database for subsidy and infrastructure. Engagements with districts pertaining to database of ECD centres benefiting from ECD Conditional Grant subsidy, health and safety packs for ECD centres to benefit from ECD Conditional Grant for ECD infrastructure maintenance. Capturing of ECD infrastructure projects on Infrastructure Reporting Model (IRM). Monitor ECD projects that are maintained through ECD Conditional Grant maintenance programme. Compile and verify evidence for ECD Conditional Grant Audits. Maintain and update funded ECD database on quarterly basis for Equitable Share and ECD Conditional grant.
