Grade 12, plus three (03) year Diploma (NQF level 6)/Degree (NQF level 7 in the relevant field. Three (03) years experience in the Community Development environment sector. A valid code 8/10 driver’s license. No criminal record or any cases pending against you. Knowledge and Skills: Relevant legislation and Public service regulations. Understanding of expectations of customers. Departmental priorities. Crime patterns and causes thereof. Skills: Planning, organizing, and leading a team. Problem solving. Communication. Innovative. Monitoring and evaluation skills. Report writing skills. Public speaking. Presentation. Management skills.
Duties :
-
To coordinate capacity-building projects for youth desk members. To lobby for training and vocational opportunities for youth desk members. Mobilize and Organize community based youth organization and ensure their integration into the work of the YD. To ensure the establishment of youth projects plans and facilitate their execution. To serve as a liaison person between the department and the youth sector in a designated area. To coordinate training, mentoring and establishment requirements of the youth desks within the province. To establish and maintain a sound administrative system and procedures that will guide the support, being it financial resources or material support rendered on behalf of the department. To generate the reports as may be required by the department of the functionality and activities of youth sector within the designated area. To ensure the commemoration of Youth Month.
