Requirements :

  • A Matric plus a National Diploma / Degree in Public Administration/ Business Management / Human Resources Management or any relevant qualifications at NQF Level 6/7 as recognised by SAQA. A minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience within Human Resources / Transformation Unit. Possession of a valid driver’s license. The candidate should have knowledge of Public Service Act of 1994 and Regulations of 2001, Knowledge of strategies for acquiring or developing competencies to meet strategic goals, Knowledge of Organisational Design, transformation and its challenge. Understanding and ability to harmonise public service prescripts with strategic HR function. Fundamental knowledge of the public service /business. COMPETENCIES: Strategic capability and Leadership, People Management and empowerment, Programme and Project Management, Financial Management and Change Management. Problem solving and analysis, Client orientation and customer focus, Service Delivery Innovation, Honesty and Integrity. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Good written and verbal communication skills. Duties :

  • Provide support and implement of Gender Equality Strategic Framework (GEFS) and policies on Women Empowerment (WEGE). Facilitate capacity building on gender equality & Women empowerment legislation. Monitor the Implementation of priorities on Gender equality & Women Empowerment. Provide support and implementation of the Job Access strategic Framework (JASF) and the White Paper on the Rights of People with Disabilities (WPRPD) . Implementing the JASF & WPRPD Implementation plans. Facilitate capacity building on key legislations and policies on disability rights . Monitor the implementation of policies on the rights of people with disabilities. Administer mainstreaming of Gender, Disability and youth programmes in the department. Administer that priorities for gender equality and rights of persons with Disabilities, Women & Youth are mainstreamed in departmental policies. Provide advice and support on implementation programs related to empowerment of women, person with disabilities and youth. Evaluate the mainstreaming of transformation programmes in departmental polices, strategies and implementation plans. Manage the development of department specific indicators on transformation. Facilitate the implementation of internal advocacy and awareness session on transformation. Implementation of capacity building/ awareness of programs on transformation. Implement of critical capacity building and training interventions on transformation. Monitor the implementation of training initiatives and capacity building programs on transformation. Support the development and implementation of specific empowerment interventions on transformation. Coordinate reporting on the implementation of empowerment and training interventions on transformation. Provide logistical support services. Conduct stock takes within the unit to determine the need for items to be purchased. Organize programmes packs pertaining to GESF & WEGE, JASF, WPRPD and women, person with disabilities and youth. Prepare correspondences/ information assisting in executing unit’s functions. Prepare meeting packages and perform secretariat functions during the meetings and presentations.
