Requirements :

  • Appropriate qualifications that allow registration with HPCSA as an independent Medical Practitioner. Current registration with HPCSA as an independent Medical Practitioner. Must have completed Community service. Must have completed the College of Ophthalmologist Primary exams. Participation in Research and Publication in article will be an added advantage. Having Diploma in Ophthalmology will be an added advantage.

Duties :

  • In- and outpatient medical care, assist consultants with surgical procedures, develop surgical skills, prepare, present and attend academic meetings, preparation and completion of dissertation, do overtime and after hours’ call, perform minor outpatient procedures, prepare for examinations, clinical administration tasks include maintaining patient records, coordinating care, and participating in ward rounds and meetings.
