Requirements :

  • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa [HPCSA] as a Medical Practitioner, HPCSA registration as an independent Medical Practitioner and must be post Community Service. Having Part1 exams will be a significant advantage. Must have 6-12 months experience as a Medical officer in the relevant department. Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident. Proof of current HPCSA registration.

Duties :

  • Render a full spectrum of Urology inpatient, outpatient services and surgical cases. Provide clinical guidance to designated clinic staff. Ability to lead standardization of care inspirational to the health care team. Ability to work within a team of health care professionals with integrity and respect. Commitment to organizational values and vision. Dedication to patient safety and quality of health care. Track record of fostering teamwork and collaboration among physicians. Excellent interpersonal skills. Perform department administrative duties. Initiate and participate in clinical research. Render after-hours clinical services. Rotate within the cluster hospitals. Prioritizing MMed programme and completion during set time. Ability to do presentations and do research.
