Requirements :

  • Grade 12 Senior certificate or equivalent plus Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. One-year community service experience completed. Computer literacy is essential. Report writing skills, good communication skills. The candidate should be able to work independently and under pressure.

Duties :

  • Provide an Occupational Therapy service to Acute patients with various conditions. Execute optimal Occupational Therapy individual and group treatment for in- and out- patients an MDT setting. Execute all patients and departmental related administrative tasks including PMDS, data compilation, stock management, attend various internal and external meetings and submission of monthly reports. Plan and prepare for all internal and external audits in the hospital. Participate in the training of community service therapists and students. Participate and implement the departmental policy on training and continuous professional development to ensure compliance to departmental standards and effective patient service delivery, in line with provincial and national standards.
