Requirements :

  • Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice R425 i.e. Diploma/degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse. Proof of current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Experience with quality assurance processes will be an added advantage. Competencies: Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes, regulated Norms and Standards for Health Establishments, and Ideal Hospital Framework. Experience and qualification in Quality Assurance will be an added advantage. Have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to comply with the set time frames. Flexibility and team work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Computer literacy is highly essential.

Duties :

  • Provide support and guidance to Quality Assurance champions in the hospital to drive innovative and sustainable approaches to improve and sustain the quality of health care services, i.e. coordinates effective implementation of hospital programmes for compliance with Regulated Norms and Standards, Ideal Hospital Framework, Key Ministerial Priorities, Patient Safety Management, Patients Experience of Care, Complaints Management and Monitoring of Waiting Times. Utilize information technology (IT), reports and other related management information systems to manage information for the enhancement of service delivery. Be able to obtain accurate statistics and compile relevant reports. Timeously generates and submit all the reports as expected.
